Setting up the Gong integration

Does your team use Gong or are thinking of using it? With OpenPhone's Gong integration, you can easily analyze all your call interactions that take place from an OpenPhone number. In this guide, we'll show you how to get started and what you can specifically unlock with the integration.

First, let's provide a short overview of what Gong is in case you're considering using their platform and still need to get buy-in from your team.

What is Gong?

Gong is a sales intelligence tool that can capture and analyze your customer interactions to inform you of potential opportunities and churn risks within your business.

With Gong you can:

  • get a clear look into all active and closed deals
  • actively monitor individual team members and your overall team's performance
  • bring together and analyze your team's conversations with contacts across phone, email, and web conferencing

How does the Gong integration work?

The OpenPhone Gong integration can automatically push call recordings to Gong for any phone number(s) you designate in your OpenPhone settings. In OpenPhone you have the option to either auto-record all calls at a phone number level or hit the record button at any time during a live call.
