Porting your OpenPhone number to a different provider

Here are the steps for porting your OpenPhone number to a new provider:

Note: Porting out is not available during the trial period. 

  1. Fill out the Port out form ⤴️

  2. We will respond within 48 hours with the information your new carrier needs to complete the port

  3. Contact the carrier to which you’d like to port your number. Most carriers require you to fill out a Letter of Authorization (LOA)

  4. Your new carrier will inform you of your port date. On the port date your phone number will be ported from OpenPhone to your new carrier 

This process can take from 1 day to 2 weeks, depending on the carrier you're porting your number to. Your number will be operational and on OpenPhone up until the port date so there's no service interruption for you.
